SOMETIMES it’s not looks or a scintillating personality that grabs you a marriage proposal.
But a herd of cows might.
Sounds unlikely but it’s true and that’s the experience of a young English dairy farmer.
Jess Harvey, who posts to her TikTok platform as @jessharvey77, describes herself as an ‘agriculture girl.'
Based in the Isle of Man, UK, she has amassed over 27,000 followers and another whopping 945,000 likes, all tuning in to life on the farm with Jess.
It’s doubtful many will be watching when she gets up for a day's work at the ungodly hour of 4.44 am.
This is when she pitches up to the milking parlor and starts to bring the beasts in.
This isn’t just a few cud-chewing cows, while she sits perched on a milking stool.
This is industrial scale, is an all-consuming task, and most definitely not for the faint-hearted.

“Come to work with me,” she captioned her video as she started her marathon on the family farm.
As she swung into the farm yard, it was still dark and the sun was barely peeking over the horizon.
This was the beginning of a four-hour shift milking an incredible 508 cows.
“All three groups all milked and done,” she said, "508 cows and all the scraping done.”
That would have been enough for most people, but Jess wasn't finished.
“Now off to worm and load the wagon with some heifers,” said this tireless worker.
“Morning done, home for breakfast. All again this afternoon," she said as she headed home for a nourishing fry-up.
It was all in a day’s work, but she wouldn’t have it any other way.
Comments were bowled over by her work ethic.
One envied her lifestyle: “Always wanted to work on a farm and just do what my grandparents did.”
Another could not believe the size of her herd: “Jesus! 508!”
“I’d work with you anytime,” was the opinion of one fan.
