A HAIRDRESSER has revealed the six things that customers do to "help" that actually makes her job a whole lot harder.
The "hair queen", aka Shannon Baker, who works at a salon in Perth, Australia, took to TikTok to share a video detailing the crimes, as she kicked off with: "Arrive 20 mins early."
As a woman walked through the door and waved cheerily, the hairdresser – sitting in the back room and having a snack – threw her popcorn up in shock.
And while some people think that turning up with super dirty hair helps their hairdresser, they couldn't be more wrong, Shannon explained.
Some people even take things to another level by washing their hair before arriving to have their colour done – another thing not liked by those working in the salon.
Customers often think they're being kind by telling the hairdresser not to rush, but then sitting there and staring until it's their turn.

And she concluded her list by slamming the "hair wash helper" and the "blow dry helper" – both of which attempt to move their heads to make the process easier.
Shannon captioned her video: "** IF YOU DO THESE, WE STILL LOVE YOU!**
"We know you’re trying to help!
"These few things may seem helpful, but actually stress us out."

People quickly took to the comments section to weigh in, with one writing: "I accidentally move my head the way they are blowing drying but in defence they pull my head so hard I can’t help it."
"I thought dirty hair helped with bleaching," another questioned.
"That’s common!" Shannon replied.
"If you’re having a scalp bleach you don’t want to freshly wash as the natural oils protect your scalp from sensitivity.
"But it definitely doesn’t help the colour take – *extremely* dirty hair can be tricky to work with, it's slippery when we foil and colour won’t penetrate."
"I just don't go to the salon because you get judged no matter what you do or don't do," someone else complained.
"I’m the hair wash helper and now I’m insecure," another wrote.
With Shannon responding: "Don’t be! We don’t actually care, it’s all a bit of fun.
"But we’ll let you know what we need you to do, it’s your time to relax."
