I’m a home expert and a 2p hack will clean your filthy pans without any scrubbing | The Sun

TUCKING into a delicious home-cooked meal is a treat, but scrubbing your pots and pans afterwards is much less fun.

TikTok user @marilyn.2685 claims the trick to easily tackling stubborn stains is to simply use a dryer sheet – and you don’t even need to scrub.

Marilyn showed how she simply places the sheet on top of their dirty pan and then leaves it to soak in boiling water and washing up liquid.

After it has soaked for around an hour, you simply wash away all food residue.

Marilyn explained: “Did you know if you soak your pan with a dryer sheet it will clean it?”

So how does it work exactly? Donna Smallin Kuper, author of "Cleaning Plain & Simple," told TODAY that it's likely the conditioning properties of the dryer sheet being released into the water that help to remove the gunk.
