One mother-of-four named Christine Andrew, who goes by @christine_andrew on TikTok, often shares videos of her busy family life and has become known for her useful parenting tips.
She recently revealed how she keeps her home mess-free – and the solution won’t cost you much.
“I have four kids and here’s my $15 secret to keep our outdoor furniture white and spill proof.”
Christine sprayed Scotchgard Heavy Duty Water Shield, which can be bought on Amazon, all over the pristine white cushion on a rattan chair.

To demonstrate how well it worked, she then spilled a full cup of water on the seat.
“You can see how the water just bounces off and any excess liquid doesn’t soak in, it just wipes off,” she explained, while swiping her hand across the fabric to easily remove the water.
This hack also works for colored liquids as well – not just water – meaning you’ll want it when your little one spills a full cup of coke on your couch.
Rather than have to deal with soaking a cushion in cleaning products and attempting to scrub off any stains, she said the Scotchgard spray is a “miracle worker.”
