FOR the majority of people, 1st December is the earliest they'd consider putting up their Christmas decorations.
But for mum Heidi Parrish, it's never too soon to start thinking about the festive season – and she's already got hers up… 109 days before big day.
Heidi took to Instagram recently to share a picture of the front of her family house, which was adorned with light-up stars, candy canes and even a herd of reindeers.
Speaking to GrimsbyLive about her reasons for setting things up so early, Heidi explained that she wants to provide some light relief for people who have been struggling during a difficult year.
“I wanted to decorate my home early as making my children and other people smile when they see the lights makes me think, 'what is there not to love about getting into the Christmas spirit early on'," she said.
"Especially after the pandemic, I think it made us all realise there is truly no time like the present so why not?"

But amid the cost of living crisis, Heidi won't be leaving her lights on from now until Christmas.
"For now, I’m planning to only turn on the lights occasionally such as when we have friends over to ensure I’m not wasting energy and to keep costs to a minimum," she added.
In the caption for her Instagram post, Heidi revealed that the lights were gifted to her by local company Christow Home.
"They’ve sent me a selection of lights and I couldn’t wait to get into the Christmas spirit," she wrote.

The majority of comments on the post were from people who praised Heidi's festive handiwork, with one writing: "I can’t wait for Christmas… love these lights."
"Omg yess i cant wait to get the decs out," another added.
While a third commented: "These look amazing!!! I need to get some for our front this year."
But others weren't quite as convinced.
"Oh my you’ve said the C word already!!!!" one wrote.
