I’m a plus-size model – trolls sent death threats after I showed off my cellulite in a bikini, but I won’t stop | The Sun

A PLUS-SIZE model has received death threats for simply showing off her curves.

The influencer, who designs her own swimwear, regularly flaunts her figure to her 1.2M Instagram followers.

Karin Irby (@karinairby) revealed the hateful comments she receives, including threats against her life, in a recent post.

Promoting body positivity, Karin shared her thoughts on online trolls.

"People tell me to kill myself. Call me names. Discourage my work. Call out my skin conditions," she wrote in the caption of her post.

The blonde beauty showed off her curvy figure in a baby blue two-piece with a cartoon pattern.

In a similar post, Karin asked: "Why, when I show off my cellulite, belly, and eczema I receive A LOT of hate?"

She pointed out: "Other women post similar content and only receive positivity and praise.

"At this point, if my cellulite makes you that upset then YOU are the problem," the swimwear model told her followers.

She explained that she was responding to the hate in order to promote people's love of natural bodies.

"So I’m posting this to once again stand up for myself and EVERYONE else out there who is getting attacked for being themselves," Karin wrote.

The Instagram influencer informed her haters that she doesn't plan to stop posting her body.

"I could easily just stop posting and get upset about it but that’s just not who I am," Karin said.

Instagram users took to the comments section to share their thoughts.

"Death threats over cellulite. The damn world has gone crazy," wrote one person.

Another follower said: "Women must be torn down apparently. If you seem too much of something the world's natural reaction is to 'humble' you, it’s so messed up!"

"It is definitely a sign of our times that a woman will receive death threats for showing the world what a real woman really looks like," commented a third Instagram user.
