A DOG TRAINER has revealed the three breeds he claims are the most reactive – and it’s bad news for dachshund fans.
Deciding to let a furry friend into your home is one of the biggest decisions a family can make – let alone deciding on the right breed.
But master dog trainer Adam Spivey has issued a warning to prospective pet owners, claiming that there are three breeds that can be very reactive.
On his list – the very popular dachshund, the German Shepherd, and the XL bully.
He said: “Top three reactive dogs we see at Southend Dog Training.

“We’re seeing the German Shepherd on almost a daily basis at the minute.
“Now, this is a fantastic, loyal family dog.
“However, popularity has meant lots of backyard breeding and lots of people getting this dog without doing their research on the breed.
“As a result, common behaviour problems we see with the German Shepherd is reactivity towards humans, animals, and traffic because the needs of the dog aren't being met.

“Number two, the XL bully.
“This dog is probably the most overbred dog on the planet right now.
“We're seeing so many dangerous liabilities on the street.
“Everybody wants to cash in on the XL bully breeding money train.
“A well-bred XL bully is a docile, loyal family companion. Absolute epitome of a gentle giant.
“However, they become quite a status symbol, and sheer overbreeding for rare exotic beast, one of a kind, has meant they're ending up in the wrong hands and there are lots of dangerous liabilities on the streets.
“Number one, the miniature dachshund.
“Another increasingly popular breed that's being massively overbred, so we've seen a lot with really nerdy temperaments, and many times these dogs are picked up and paraded around like it's Simba from the f****** Lion King.
“These dogs don't know whether they're coming or going.
“The dachshund is a… fearless little hunter, however, we're seeing many that are just spoiled and erotic.”
Fans loved his honesty, with the list gaining more than 4,300 likes and 148,500 views.
