A PROFESSIONAL piercer has revealed the four she absolutely hates – including one that’s so dangerous that she’d never offer it.
Marie took to TikTok to share her honest thoughts – and claimed she’s not a fan of Smiley piercings because they’re ‘ugly’.
She also suggested people steer clear of professionals offering Horizontal Tongue piercings as they could damage your teeth, gums and restrict your tongue movement.
Known online as @piercingsby_marie, the Sydney-based body modification artist regularly shares behind-the-scenes updates about her job with her 33,000 followers.
In a new TikTok reel, she said: “I’ve been a professional piercer for four years now. Here’s piercings that I hate and would never get.
“Oh, and if you have these, sorry. Sorry that you have them, not that I made the video.

“Starting off strong with probably the most hated piercing on the internet, Snake Eyes or Horizontal Tongue piercings.
“These are bad because they pierce the two tongue muscles together which means it’s going to restrict movement.
“It’ll probably cause a lisp, it’ll cause gum recession, it would damage your teeth.
“These are all-around a bad idea. If your piercer offers these, find another piercer.

“I think these look ugly, personal opinion.
“If you’ve got one, do your thing, but they do cause a lot of damage to your teeth and to your gums.
“Like look how thin that tissue is. All you need to be doing is eat something wrong, brush your teeth wrong, [and] boom it gets caught, ripped out.
“Bad idea.
“Third is Industrial Bars. These aren’t unsafe like the first two, but if you’ve been following me for a while, you know that I have a personal vendetta against industrial bars because I could never heal mine.
“I hated the whole experience.
“In saying that, if you have one and you’ve healed it, how does it feel to be god’s favourite? How does it feel to be everything I’ve ever wanted?
“Okay, and last one, Finger Dermals. Why?
“These are going to be such a hassle to heal and you’re going to get them caught on absolutely everything. These would also reject straight away.
“I’m not the biggest fan of dermals as it is, but these… I don’t know why they’re so popular, I don’t know why they became popular.
“I feel like they did have a bit of a moment in a few years ago when I first started piercing. I haven’t seen one of these in a while thank god, but yeah.
“Has anyone ever actually healed one of these? I don’t know, I’ve never seen it.”
Her revelations attracted plenty of attention online, gaining more than 60,700 likes and 392,600 views.
In the comments, TikTokkers shared their reactions, with one writing: “WTH WHY WOULD SOMEONE PIERCE THEIR FINGERS.”
Although not all agreed, with another adding: “My smiley never caused me any issues and never got stuck on anything, they don’t deserve the hate.”
“It feels rly good to be god's favourite I had no problems healing my industrial at all,” commented another.
