BRAS are notoriously annoying to wear and most people spend hours dreaming of whipping theirs off the second they get home.
But according to this professional bra fitter you're probably making at least one of these mistakes and they're making things so much worse.
Writing for Insider.com, Carol Nicholson revealed the seven ways people go wrong when buying bras, and they're more common than you might think.
According to the pro, who has a decade worth of experience, the key to finding the right bra is looking for one to work with your lifestyle.
Someone who works stood up in a supermarket all day will probably need a different bra than an office worker, for example.
Blaming your body for a badly fitting bra
Bodies change all the time – so the same bra is unlikely to fit perfectly for years and years.

Carol explained: "The bra is supposed to fit your body, not the other way around. It's always OK to say a bra isn't for you because there are so many styles and shapes that may work better."
Presuming all bras are uncomfortable
No matter how big your bust is, your bra shouldn't be uncomfortable.
The pro suggested making sure the band is supportive enough because "the straps aren't supposed to do the work."
Your boobs also shouldn't be spilling over the edges of the cup, which can be uncomfortable, especially if you wear it for hours on end.

Going by the label
You probably try on jeans in a few different sizes before committing to a new pair, so why should your bra be any different?
Sure, the label might say one size but the truth is all brands fit slightly differently, meaning you should always try before you buy.
And don't presume your usual size will be the one to fit best.
Only buying T-shirt bras
T-shirt bras are the most common style, according to Carol, but that doesn't mean they're the best option for you.
"Cut-and-sew style bras have a more democratic fit, especially for larger-bust individuals wanting support for their everyday errands, but they still might not work for every person," she explained.
Only buying boring bras
It's a common belief that cute bras don't exist in larger sizes but this just isn't true.
If you're boobs are bigger than a DD cup it's worth shopping in specialty stores or looking online for well-fitting and sexy options.
Avoiding a bra that leaves marks
No matter what kind of bra you wear it will probably leave some kind of imprint on your skin – and that doesn't always mean it's a bad fit.
Carol said: "The marks a bra leaves behind aren't a bad thing, they're simply a feature of wearing a rubber band all day.
"Wearing a bra shouldn't cause pain, as that's a sign of ill fit, but an imprint left over time isn't cause for concern."
