SEARCHING for the perfect pair of denim shorts is almost as difficult as finding a perfect pair of jeans.
And it's even harder if you're curvy.
But size 18 cruise ship worker Lizzie HJ has been documenting her hunt for the best denim shorts on her TikTok page, and told viewers she may just have a winner.
In the final part of her video series, Lizzie tried on four pairs of shorts from SHEIN – kicking off with a black pair that she hadn't realised were actually cord.
Moving swiftly on, she tried on a pair of paperbag top shorts.
"They're elasticated around the waistband so sitting down is comfortable," she said.

"The length was actually pretty good for no chafe. As well as the black colour it came in two other washes.
"It was a bit similar to a skinny jean on the top so if you like that you’ll love these."
Next, Lizzie gave a pair of Bermuda style shorts a try, and said they were a brilliant dupe to similar shorts sold in New Look and Zara.
"I rolled them up for this clip but I think I prefer them actually longer," she mused.

"The length for chafe was absolutely fine. When I did do the sit down test though, it was comfortable around the waist however it did get eaten up a little bit in the back if you know what I mean!"
It was the last pair, however, that Lizzie loved the most.
But she did admit that she's "slightly biased" as she already owns a pair of the shorts in a different colour.
"The elastic band is amazing," she gushed.

"They’re not too thick which is very comfortable."
But it wasn't a complete five-star review, as Lizzie added: "There is a slight possibility for chafing though with this style."
