A PROFESSIONAL architect has listed the five biggest mistakes you can make when renovating your bathroom – and turns out, your doors can make all the difference.
Home whizz Georgina Wilson took to TikTok where she shared her expertise on all things home and bathroom – and there are a few tips to keep in mind when you're dealing with a smaller space.
According to the pro, from Australia, having an inward-opening door is a major mistake that will make your bathroom feel even more cramped.
Instead, she advised in the video, ''it's much more space efficient to either use a pocket sliding door or an outward opening door''.
Just as key, Georgina noted, is picking between a shower and a bath – having both of them is a no-no.
Although you might be tempted to relax in a bath in the evening and then follow it by a refreshing shower the next morning, the Aussie pro said that ''having a generous shower tends to keep the room looking open and spacious''.

In terms of flooring, meanwhile, she strongly advised home transformation fans to steer clear of heated flooring.
Goergina explained: ''There is just not enough dry floor space in a very small bathroom to make it worth your while.''
The fourth major mistake to be aware of is where the toilet it located in the bathroom – and this should ''never'' be directly in the path of entry.
''Set up the vanity or a window as the main view upon entering the bathroom,'' she advised.

The final mistake the Aussie pro mentioned in the clip was fixing the toilet brush to the wall.
''You'll undoubtedly want to throw it in the bin at some stage,'' she was convinced.
''The built-in holders are overly fussy and committed. Do you really want unnecessary holes in your carefully waterproofed, beautifully tiled walls?''
Hundreds raced to comments to share their opinion – and it seems there was one aspect they all disagreed on.
''I disagree with the heated floors. part of the point is that it drys your floor off quicker [sic],'' one hit back.
Someone else chimed in: ''Disagree with the underfloor heating. Always worth it.''
A third penned: ''I've never actually seen a bathroom with an outward opening door.''
''ugh NO we need baths!'' a social media user added.
''install heated flooring, that's the best thing you can have when you wake up on a winter morning,'' a fifth advised.
