AN INTERIOR designer has revealed the huge mistake people make when painting.
Not only is it a big mistake, but he claims that it will make your home look “unpolished and sloppy.”
So if you want to leave your guests impressed with your space, you’ll need to pay attention.
Interior whizz Loren Kreiss took to social media to share his simple DIY trick.
He claimed that rather than painting your trim and ceilings a different colour to your walls, you should in fact paint them the same colour.
He claimed that doing so will make your home look and feel sophisticated.

The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @lorenkreiss, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly amassed a staggering 236,200 views.
But social media users were left totally divided at Loren’s clip – while some were on the same page as the expert, not everyone was on board.
One person said: “I love this and think that your right!!”
Another added: “This is very true. Cheaper houses are more likely to have different colour ceilings and trim than luxury properties. For one thing, better for art.”
A third commented: “Finally the advice I wanted to hear! Yes! I hate contrast trim!”
However, not everyone agreed with Loren and many took to the comments to share their thoughts.
One user wrote: “As an interior designer. This works for houses over 2000 sa ft. Anything smaller and it doesn’t look as classy.”
To this, Loren replied: “I don’t agree.”
A second penned: “Totally DISAGREE.”
Whilst someone else claimed: “I strongly disagree. I’m lovin’ my Swiss coffee walls with white trims. It's a great contrast.”
