AN interior designer has shared five things he would never buy for his home but people are saying his comments are out of touch.
Jeremiah shared his views in a TikTok video online.
He said: “These are the things that I absolutely would not buy from myself as an interior designer.”
The first thing Jeremiah said he would never buy is LED lights.
He said: “First is LED light bulbs. I know they last forever, but I am not interested in looking like I'm tanning underneath my bedside table lamp.”
“I like my house to feel like a vampire lives here. Everything has a really soft glow, just too dark. So LED bulbs are a no no for me.”

The next thing Jeremiah said he would never buy is fake plants, the interior designer said they are essentially dust collectors.
He said: “Fake plants are not for me. I like to call them dust collectors because I'm not really sure what other purpose they serve. You have to clean every leaf individually.”
He continued: “For me space has to evolve and change along with the seasons. I understand the convenience around fake plants. I know some houses are dark, but still, for me, it's a sacrifice I'm not willing to make.”
Next up plastic blinds.

Jeremiah said: “I have a visceral reaction to plastic blinds. It stresses me out. It reminds me of my childhood. They break. We've all seen those windows where there's, like 1/3 of it missing.”

He said: “ For me, it's always drapes, it's always soft linens and the truth is, now with design you can buy really affordable window alternatives.”
“One thing I would never buy for myself, personally, is acrylic furniture. People like their acrylic furniture, but for me, it's always dirty. I feel like if I look at it, it scratches, and it's not smudge proof so with kids and me no, thank you.”
The last thing Jermiah said he would never buy is written wall art.
He said: “The last thing that I would never purchase for my own home or recommend for a client is, written word art. I don't need to see the iron mantra on a wall. It just feels super dated.”
Jeremiah's video gained over 936,000 viewers but the designer was trolled in his comments section saying his comments were out of touch.
One user said: “It stresses me out when wealthy people tell me that common things in regular homes are unacceptable.”
