Lighting
Lighting can make or break a space, but it's especailly importnat when it comes to warming up the feel of a room.
The pro suggested having more options than just the main ceiling light.

"For example, use lamps and warm sconces and all of them have to have warm bulbs," she said.
Textures
Balancing soft and hard textures is a must if you want your space to feel sumptuous and cosy in the evenings.
Cushions, rugs and curtains can balance out hard textures like tables picture frames and flooring.

The interior designer suggested having a tall lamp, sofa rug and a plant that tie in together to make the space feel less disjointed.
