AN interior designer has revealed that there’s a popular trend that can look brilliant, but is also atrocious if you get it wrong.
So if you have plans to give your home a makeover any time soon, you’ll need to listen up and take notes to ensure it doesn’t end up looking awful.
Posting on TikTok under the username @lorenkreiss, interior designer Loren, who is CEO and Creative Director of Kreiss Design & Home Furnishings, shared his thoughts on checkered flooring.
The home expert explained: “Everyone is talking about checkered floors – so here's the big question, are checkered floors classic or trendy?”
He then added: “They’re both.

To this, Loren confirmed: “I can live without them.”
As well as this, one user explained: “TBH I don't like 'em at all, in my opinion they steal the simplicity and make a kind of chaos to the place.”
