SKIMS shapewear is notorious for looking tiny off but fitting just right on.
One plus-size influencer put the collection to the test with two items and loved the result despite their unique appearance.
Bonnie Wyrick is a size 16 style influencer on TikTok.
She posted a video reviewing Skim's Sculpting Short Mid-Thigh W/Open Gusset for $34.
"I don't know how I'm going to fit all this jelly in this, but I've seen it work. I'm wearing a size 2x-3x and I suggest sizing up if you want more of a comfortable everyday feel," Bonnie says.
Bonnie is 5'7" and 235 pounds.

While she struggles to fit the shorts on, Bonnie notices a surprising addition to the shapewear.
"I thought I ripped it, but there's a hole," she admits.
In between the legs of the shorts, there's a hole for peeing.

Moving on from this, Bonnie says: "Okay, it took a minute because it's tiny, but it works. But the best part is it's not compressing me where I feel like I can't breathe."
The material and fit are comfortable enough to wear all day.
For Bonnie, it's important that she feels confident and snatched, but she doesn't want to sacrifice her comfort for that.
She pulls her long dress over the shorts, and they're invisible underneath.
Next, Bonnie tries the $52 Barely There Shapewear Low Back Shorts.
This material is a combination of polyamide and Lycra spandex.
Bonnie explains that this pair of shapewear shorts were easier to put on.
"These ones, I would say, are more smoothing in the thigh where that compression and support are the majority in the belly," she says.
When the dress is pulled over, you can see how the low back of the shorts prevents any excess fabric from being seen.
Bonnie admits that this option is breathable, comfortable, and more natural.
"I think if you want super snatched support, do the other one. If you're looking for more tummy control and a little bit of shaping, this one is it," she says.
One viewer warns others about the dangers of wearing shapewear too long.
"Be careful. There actually have been health warnings about wearing shapewear for a long time. Please check online," they commented.
Another viewer asked: "How is it wearing it in this HEAT?"
Bonnie responded: "I would do the second option if it’s crazy hot, but honestly the fabrics are so soft and comfy!"
Other commenters thought the shapewear looked great.
"The fabric is really high quality, won’t rip at all," one woman noted.
