WITH the weather heating up that means only one thing – we are starting to sweat more.
And if you’ve noticed that your beloved trainers are kicking up a nasty stench already, then you’ll need to listen up.
There’s nothing worse than visiting someone’s house and taking your shoes off, only for a grim smell to fill the room.
So if you’re worried about your shoes leaving a nasty whiff in someone’s nose, you’ll need to listen up.
Lynsey Crombie, also known as TV’s Queen of Clean, recently took to social media to share her quick and easy hacks that will prevent your shoes from smelling this summer.
Posting on TikTok under the username @lynsey_queenofclean, the cleaning expert, who is also a best-selling author, columnist and presenter on This Morning, shared her three cheap as chips tips.

She said: “Smelly shoes and trainers are a common problem, especially in the warmer months.”
She then shared her “top tips to deodorise them.”
First of all, she sprayed dry hair shampoo into her trainers.
The second tip saw her pop a tea bag into each shoe.

Finally, the last hack saw her sprinkle some bicarbonate of soda into the shoes.
Similarly, she also said that you could add the bicarbonate of soda to an old pair of tights and then cut and tie them to make little parcels to put in your shoes.
Lynsey explained that the “above three tips work the best” to get rid of gross smells, but she also shared some other “old school methods you can try too.”
She then advised placing your shoes into a large resealable bag and putting it in the freezer overnight.
Not only this, but she also recommended adding cat litter to shoes to stop any nasty smells.
Lynsey’s clip has clearly impressed many as it has quickly amassed 12,300 views.
