I’ve tasted and rated the new M&S festive to go range – and there’s a sarnie you need to nab NOW as it’s a solid 10/10 | The Sun

WITH Christmas fast approaching, supermarkets are finally starting to roll out their much-anticipated festive food ranges.

But with so many sandwiches and snacks to choose from, how do you know what's really worth the money? Well, a foodie named Becca has rated the new M&S 'Christmas to go range' so that you don't have to.

In the taste test review, which was shared to TikTok (@beccaeatseverything), she starts with the worst – the 'posh dog sausage.'

"This cocktail sausage and gravy mayo snack pack didn't really work for me," she admits, scoring it a measly 5/10.

"The sausages had so much flavour but that dip was just a little bit grim. It was very mustard-y and salty."

Next, Becca moves on to review the ginger bread milkshake.

"Though it had good gingerbread flavours, it really wasn't sweet enough – 7/10," she says.

The foodie continues: "Then in third worst we have the 'naughty and spice chicken wrap.'

"It was full of so much filling and the chicken had loads of flavour but that slaw was just a little bit washed out, it really needed something else to bring it to life – 7.5/10," she says.

Becca then takes a bit into the trio of treats and notes: "The brownie was a 10/10 – heavenly, honestly deserves it's own bar.

"The shortbread was tasty and the blondie was a bit of a let down as it was very crumbly and dry – 8/10."

She goes on to note how the 'jingle brie-it' sandwich was "interesting", adding: "The bacon is incredible, the brie delicious, really excellent flavours except for that gravy mayo.

"I can't get over this – it's too overpowering but it still deserves an 8/10."

Becca then tries a vegan option from the M&S range – the 'ho ho pest-ho and veg.'

"The flavours work so well together," she explains. "The pesto is not the main flavour though so that does let it down a little bit – that's an 8.5/10."

Not stopping there, the food fan taste tests the 'Christmas club' sandwich, which features turkey, cranberry and stuffing on a toasted bread.

She notes that the cabbage is a "great addition," before scoring it a 8.5/10.

Becca then moves onto some very high ratings – and begins with the brie and cranberry sandwich.

"It tasted super fresh and that Brie is the absolute star – 9.5/10," she says.

She then tries the gluten free turkey feast sandwich which she points out "tastes so great," before praising the "incredible" turkey.

She gives it a rating of 9.5/10, along with the next sandwich – the roast chick and Christmas slaw.

"So much chicken in this – the chicken and carrot really bring this to life – an excellent twist on a classic," she explains.

Ranking in as her third favourite, and also scoring 9.5/10, is the 'pigs in blanket sandwich.'

"Sausages are absolutely heavenly, the caramelised onions make this – but there's that gravy again…it just ruins it for me," she says. "Luckily in this one there isn't too much of it."

Placing second is the 'turkey, bacon and cranberry sausage roll.'

"So meaty, slightly salty and it's got hints of cranberry – it works so unbelievably well – 10/10," she explains.

However, Becca's crowing champion from the M&S range is the 'turkey feast' sandwich.

"No complaint whatsoever," she says.

"Succulent turkey, crispy bacon and outstanding cranberry sauce – that is what's worthy of a 10/10."

It wasn't long before the post went viral, racking up a whopping 839k views and several comments from foodies up and down the country.

"Brie and cranberry always BANGS," wrote one.

A second penned: "I love the gingerbread milkshake, it's proper lush!"

A third wrote: "had that turkey and sausage roll last year so many times. I had it for tea on its on sometimes, so tasty. I'm glad it's back!"
