With 6,600 searches in September 2022, Kate Middleton’s first royal engagement as the Princess of Wales with Prince William was her most searched-for hairstyle in the previous four years.
With her long brown hair parted slightly off-centre and straight, the royal cut a stylish yet relaxed outfit with a black top, scarlet wool coat and black trousers.
According to hair experts, royal fans should use a big paddle brush to blow dry their hair, then smooth it through the mid-lengths and curl it out at the ends to mimic the Princess’s hairstyle.
Another well-liked appearance was Kate’s new look in 2019, which included warm highlighted locks and a bouncy blowout, for Princess Charlotte’s first day of school.
In September 2019, there were 5,400 more searches for the autumnal look.
According to hairstylists, fans should brush their hair through with an anti-bacterial, anti-static detangling brush, using a thickening spritz, then rough-drying it until it is 25 percent dry on low heat in order to emulate Kate’s distinctive look.
This look is also known as the “Chelsea Blow-dry”, which Kate and her younger sister Pippa Middleton were known for sporting in the mid-2000s.
Averaging 1,300 monthly Google searches, Meghan Markle is the second most popular family member when it comes to her hair.
Unsurprisingly, her bridal hair, which she wore in a loose, low chignon bun, was the most sought royal hairstyle overall in May 2018 with over 9,900 searches.

The outfit caused some controversy, though, since keen observers at the time pointed out that her face-framing layers were constantly moving during the event.
To offer the Duchess of Sussex freedom to tuck her hair behind her ears during the day, a hairdresser claimed that the “messy” look was deliberate.
The look only requires 45 minutes to accomplish, should royal fans wish to emulate Meghan’s hairstyle.
Fans should concentrate on creating texture by gently curling the hair with a big curling iron, hairstylists have claimed.
The number of searches for Meghan’s hair increased to 5,400 after her March 2021 appearance on Oprah.
For the occasion, the former actress wore her signature low bun with wavy tendrils hanging down to frame her face.
Notably, Google searches for “Princess Diana hairstyle” increased by 2,900 in May 2021 as a result of a TikToker imitating the late Princess Diana’s trademark haircut.
In the video, TikToker @70srose transforms into the style icon by striking a striking similarity to Diana’s hairstyle.
