The Queen’s coffin was taken from Scotland to Buckingham Palace, where it was greeted by the Prince and Princess of Wales, William and Kate, and Prince Harry and Meghan, who travelled from Windsor Castle in different cars.
Prince Harry and Meghan looked emotional in the car as they arrived at Buckingham Palace, where they joined the rest of the Royal Family.
The Duchess of Sussex was seen wearing a black dress, kept her hair loose and styled it in subtle waves.
For make-up, Meghan opted for a smokey eye and pink lipstick.
Royal watchers took to social media to share their opinion with many saying Meghan looked “stunning” as she arrived at Buckingham Palace to receive Her Majesty’s coffin.
Twitter user @SussexPrincess said: “Gorgeous” and @CreedBleed commented: “She is so pretty.”
Social media user @pebubbz added: “Meghan Markle is the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen” while another royal fan added: “She’s gorgeous inside and out.”
This is the second time the royal couples are seen together since greeting mourners at Windsor Castle over the weekend.
Kate Middleton was seen wearing a black dress, pearl earrings and a pearl necklace, a sweet tribute to Queen Elizabeth, who loved pearls.
The Princess of Walles opted for an elegant piece featuring multiple strings of pearls, which presumably belonged to the Queen, to receive Her Majesty’s coffin in London.
Kate kept her make-up simple and her hair loose, and William looked tearful as the couple made their way to Buckingham Palace.
Royal watchers took to social media to praise Kate’s choice of jewellery with @Emma saying: “We hardly ever saw Her Majesty without one of her trusty pearl necklaces.”
Another one, @KateMiddStyle, commented: “I think pearls are considered traditional mourning jewellery too. So some significance there.”
The Queen’s coffin landed at Northolt and was received at Buckingham Palace by King Charles, Queen Consort Camilla, her children and grandchildren, as well as her niece and nephew, Lady Sarah Chatto and Earl Snowdon.
Princess Anne, Prince Andrew, and Prince Edward with their spouses, the Queen Consort, Sir Tim Laurence and the Countess of Wessex were present.
The Queen’s grandchildren including Princess Beatrice and her husband Eduardo Mapelli Mozzi, Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank, Peter Phillips, Zara and Mike Tindall, Lady Louise Mountbatten-Windsor and James, Viscount Severn, were also at Buckingham Palace.
