Meghan Markle reveals how she saves money on Archie’s presents & admits mornings with Prince Harry & kids are ‘chaotic’ | The Sun

MEGHAN Markle has revealed how she saves money on Archie's presents – and admitted mornings with Prince Harry and the kids are "chaotic".

The Duchess of Sussex, 41, gave a massive insight into her life as a mother in the eighth and latest episode of her Archetypes podcast.

The episode, titled 'Good Wife/Bad Wife, Good Mom/Bad Mom', was released today, and features Meghan's "dear friend" the first lady of Canada.

Sophie Trudeau and the Duchess candidly talk about being mothers and partners in the public eye, seeing the 41-year-old share what life is like at home with Prince Harry, and their children.

Meghan then reveals how she once scrimped on a toy for Archie to save a few dollars.

She starts recalling a time when Sophie was visiting with her children for a few days, and the families were playing at the poolside.

Meghan goes onto say: "We splashed in the water, then threw some pool floats in.

"By the way, the inflatable pizza slice proved to be a big hit, which I found online.

"And I kid you not the one without pepperoni was a few dollars less than the one with pepperoni.

"And yes, I'm still talking about the inflatable pizza float for the pool."

She also opened up about what her "chaotic" mornings with Harry and the kids are like in their California home.

Meghan said: "For me, it's, you know, both monitors on, for the kids to hear them, always up with Lily, get her downstairs, then a half hour later Archie."

Harry will then help get Archie downstairs, before the mum makes breakfast for all three of them.

Meghan added: "It's very important to me."

It's then time to feed their three dogs – which includes a new addition – before getting Archie out the door for "school".

She added: "You know, but it does, it feels like a whirlwind."

It is so much work to be a mum.

And, she said she imagines it will only get harder as Archie, three, and Lilibet, one, get older.

The Duchess sympathetically went on to say: "How someone does this without a partner to help them through?

"It is so much work to be a mum."

In the episode, Meghan also revealed the "crushing guilt" she feels while being a mum and a partner in the public eye.

As she introduced Sophie, she said: "She knows what it feels like to be a mum and a partner.

"And specifically a mum and a partner in the public eye, and also how crushing the guilt of expectations can become the guilt that we feel as mothers or as women, in general, is self-imposed."
