There were a variety of different techniques suggested, but the most popular responses suggested using shaving foam.
Typically used to assist in hair removal, according to Mrs Hinch fans, shaving foam is also great on bathroom floors.
One person said: “Shaving foam works”.
A second wrote: “I had this problem myself this week so I tried shaving foam.
“I only left it on for about 30 minutes but it did make a noticeable difference.”
A third commented: “I’ve read previously that if you put shaving foam down, leave it for a while then wash off. This removes the smell.”
