A MUM has revealed how she converted her kids’ Ikea beds to make one giant king size bed for guests.
In a clip which has racked up 36,000 likes, she showed how a simple “bed bridge” is the key.
By placing it in the middle of the two kids’ beds, she was able to make a large king size bed that could “sleep four people”.
Once she had positioned it in the middle, it was hard to tell it was two separate beds.
The best part was that it took minutes to achieve.
She explained on her @champagne.chaos account: “I have been wanting to do this faux king-sized bed, trundle bed thing ever since I bought these trundle beds two years ago.

“I’m using this bed bridge in the middle of the twin beds and then a mattress topper to make it look like one solid mattress.
“Once the bed is made, the only thing giving it away that it’s two trundle beds is that split in the headboard.
“To hide it I got these two upholstered headboards to go at the top and the bottom to cover that up.”
You can pick up bed bridges for as little as £22 on Amazon – so it could be an affordable solution if you don’t want to buy a double bed.

She said she used two Ikea SLÄKT beds pushed together.
The mum added: “It looks like a king size bed but it functions like a great space for a family or cousin sleepover.”
People were quick to praise the idea, with one saying: “Looks amazing.”
Another added: “I want to do this with two king sized beds lol.”
