My behind-the-ear tattoo was misspelled – it was my mom's fault, I was so hyped I didn't notice | The Sun

AN inked-up woman said she made a big mistake when choosing her behind-the-ear tattoo.

She ended up with a permanent misspelling on her skin — and says it's all her mom's fault.

TikToker Janessa (@littleejayy) has some regrets when it comes to her tattoo.

After her mother asked for a photo of the finished product, she realized she was in major trouble.

In a recent clip, Janessa smiled while lying on the tattoo parlor table, clearly excited about her new permanent accessory.

When the frame changed, she revealed the ink in all of its glory.

Behind her ear in black, cursive letters was supposed to be the Spanish phrase, “Te quiero mija,” which means, "I love you daughter," alongside a tiny heart.

There was only one problem: it wasn't spelled correctly.

Although Janessa didn’t realize anything was wrong with it, her mom immediately did.

“I want a pic of it finished,” read a text from her mother.

After receiving the image, she broke the news to her daughter: “You’re not going to freaking believe this. Mija, I am SO SO sorry.

“I spelled it wrong. I feel so horrible… I want to throw up. I don’t know where I got a damn N from.”

The word she was referring to was “quiero,” which was accidentally spelled as "quierno" behind her ear.

In the next image, she showed the draft that her mother had written on a piece of paper for the tattoo artist.

Although Janessa now finds the whole thing hilarious, in the moment she was likely horrified.

When someone in the comments asked if she realized it was misspelled before her mom told her, she said she was sadly hyped and did not notice.
