A MOM has found the best housing solution for her grandfather after he was kicked out by his landlord.

He was forced to leave his home of 30 years when the property was sold and he had to find somewhere to live.


This gentleman wasn't inclined toward an old folks home, however – it just wasn't an option for him.

But he did want to be close to his grandchildren.

In stepped TikToker Itsthafreckles (@itsthafreckles) who found the perfect answer to his housing crisis.

She and her husband decided to build him a tiny home on their property.

It meant he maintained his independence while also being close to his family.

In her post, she gave viewers a taste of the studio apartment that boasted modern conveniences.

“So a few months ago, we took my grandfather in because the house he’s been living in for 30 years was sold by the landlord," she said.

“We found a tiny home that can go on our property so he can watch his great grandkids grow up."

It was especially poignant for her: "I’m so relieved now. He practically raised me.

“So I’m glad life came in a full circle and I’m able to help him in the same way.

“It’s been so stressful living so crammed up in our house. But finally we found a solution.”

Commenters admired the decision she took to help her grandfather.

One had experienced something similar: “My mother took in my grandmother, and we built an in-law suite when I was ten. Best years of my life living with her."

A second wrote: “What a great solution. You’re able to keep him close and support him, but he still has his independence and his own space.”

“That is just perfect love," said a third.

While a fourth was in awe: “This is f**king amazing. You are all so wonderful for doing this.”
