TAKING the children food shopping can often feel like warfare.
Once secured in the trolley, the screaming, crying, and tantrums that ensue are nothing short of a nightmare.
But one dad has 'invented' the best way to stop toddlers from having a tantrum, and it's so easy parents are wondering why on earth they hadn't thought of it before.
Taking to TikTok, mum Aly, shared her husband's genius trick to help other parents.
The mum revealed that prior to the hack, food shops were often filled with screaming, crying and her tot wanting to get out, but not anymore.
Aly wrote: "One day my husband said let her 'drive' & it's a genius parenting hack ngl."

Instead of pushing the trolley so that her daughter was facing her, she instead pushed the trolley from the back so her daughter was at the front and could see everything going on in the supermarket.
This meant her daughter was occupied enough to not get bored with sitting in the trolley.
"Now we can make it through the entire grocery shopping trip without any screaming, crying or wanting to get out," she captioned the post.
The video posted to her account @allthingsaly has since gone viral with over 680k views and over 55k likes.
