A WOMAN has revealed that she decided to get lip filler to give her pout a boost, but it was a total fail.
Unfortunately for Ava Austen, she ended up having a severe allergic reaction to the lip filler and not only were her lips swollen, but her whole face went massive too.
Posting on TikTok under the username @the_ava_austen, Ava documented the before and after of getting lip filler.
She said: “Remembering this from a year ago…That time I had a bad allergic reaction…”
In the video, we first saw Ava prior to her lip filler appointment, as she pouted and showed off her natural lips.
Seconds later, Ava was seen wearing a black face covering, but she quickly removed it to show off her swollen lips, after getting injected with filler.

According to the Journal of Clinical and Aesthetic Dermatology: ‘Injectable fillers are normally well tolerated by patients with little or no adverse effects.
‘The most common side effects include swelling, redness, bruising, and pain at the injection site.’
Nao Medical explained: ‘If you’re considering getting lip fillers, it’s important to know that an allergy test is a crucial step in ensuring a safe and successful procedure.
‘An allergy test is necessary to determine if you have any allergies to the ingredients in the lip filler product.
‘Lip fillers are made up of various substances, including hyaluronic acid, collagen, and polymers.
‘While these ingredients are generally safe, some people may have an allergic reaction to them.
‘The allergy test is a simple and quick procedure that involves applying a small amount of the lip filler product to your skin, usually on your arm or behind your ear.
‘The area is then monitored for any signs of an allergic reaction, such as redness, swelling, or itching.
