THERE’S no denying that the anti-ageing industry is huge, but one woman has revealed the cheapest and most impactful way to keep your youthful looks.
Taking to her social media account, Tams shared a photo of her mum and grandmother posing together.
“This is my grandma and my mom,” she explained before zooming in on her grandmother’s flawless face that had almost no wrinkles in sight.
“My grandma, she’s in her 90s,” she continued. “She was born in the 1930s in South Korea and obviously back then they didn’t have any skincare.”
As she spoke, she placed a glass bowl full of rice water into her bathroom sink.
Tams then took a handful of the water and cleansed her face with it several times, wiping it over before patting it down.

“Use rice water in the morning and/or evening,” she wrote over this.
She went on to explain that her grandmother had no cleanser, moisturiser or sunscreen back then either.
“What she told me is that she only used rice water on her face for many, many years,” she added.
Showing the photo of her grandmother once again, TikTok user @tamsskyn said she has “zero sun spots and barely any wrinkles”.

She continued: “The amino acids and antioxidants in rice water are natural weapons combating the effects of ageing.
“Rice water is fantastic for reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles on your skin and it’s also a natural sun protectant.”
In the caption, she added: “You can’t deny that rice water works for anti-aging after seeing this AND it’s free”.
She then shared a second video, explaining how to make rice water.
Putting two cups of rice into a glass bowl, she rinsed the rice and dumped the water twice.
On her third go of rinsing the rice, she said: “This is what we’re going to keep.”
Tams explained that she moved the rice around with her hands and got the water cloudy, but people don’t need to let it soak for more than 10 minutes.
She then poured it into a jar and put it in the fridge – completing the method.
People were quick to comment on the two videos as many people were left baffled by her grandmother’s age.
“When you said 90s I was like [shocked emoji],” one person wrote.
Another said: “HER NINETIES! She has better skin than me,” as a third chimed: “Yess go her she looks fabulous”.
“In her 90s???????” a fourth questioned, while a fifth added: “90????? I’m not even 20 and I look way older than her what”.
