Queen Letizia of Spain travelled to Zagreb, Croatia, to attend the Congress on Prevention of Childhood Obesity where she met the president of Croatia and his wife and attended a welcome dinner in the city. For the official engagement, Letizia looked elegant in a white two-piece suit by one of her favourite designers, Hugo Boss.
Queen Letizia wore the new Hugo Boss Jaxtiny2 Slim-Fit Tuxedo Style Virgin Wool Jacket in White and the Tackea Regular-Fit Virgin Wool Trousers.
The blazer has a price tag of £429 while the trousers retail for £239 at John Lewis. “Detailed with a collar, it offers comfortable warmth in quality wool making it ideal for when temperatures are a bit chilly.
“Elevating your look with ease, this blazer from Hugo Boss sits at the hips for practical coverage,” the retailer’s website explained.
The mid-rise tailored trousers are a “classic fit that will never go out of style” and “a versatile addition to your wardrobe” that “will go well with more or less anything”.
The Spanish Queen paired the white ensemble with Magrit shoes, the Metallic Gold Slingback Pumps, and the Alice Metallic Gold Clutch, also from the Spanish brand Magrit.
Queen Letizia looked “fabulous” in the white suit and the cut and colour were “gorgeous on her,” according to fans.
On the social media platform Instagram, royal watcher @birdnerd327 commented: “Letizia looks gorgeous! I really like the last picture where we can see her gorgeous earrings.
“Hugo Boss is almost always a hit on her and this suit is just lovely!” they added.

Social media user @luxmeagainpreloved opined: “Gorgeous queen! Love the white suit and the pretty underpinning! The gold accents are a beautiful finishing touch. The earrings are gorgeous.”
Letizia’s outfit was almost identical to the white suit Kate, Princess of Wales wore for the Commonwealth Games last summer.
To attend the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham with Prince William and Princess Charlotte, Kate opted for a polished all-white look.
The Princess of Wales’ suit was an Alexander McQueen design which she rewore from earlier last year.
The blazer reportedly retails for £1,370 and the trousers cost £890. Kate looked stylish in the designer’s suit which she has worn at least on three occasions, including on Windrush Day last year and during her Caribbean tour.
Both royals, Queen Letizia and the Princess of Wales, opted for a white top underneath the suit and very similar jewellery.
While Kate wore a simple white top, Letizia chose a jumper with lace detail. For jewellery, the Spanish monarch donned a pair of pearl drop earrings and interestingly, Kate also went for a shiny pair of drop earrings.
Some commented, however, that the Princess of Wales should try different hairstyles with @lena.b_1, suggesting: “I love her fashion sense and that she always tries something new.
“It really would be nice to see the Princess of Wales doing more with her hair and trying different types of ponytails etc.
“The hair always does it. It would look so good on her wearing just an elegant bun,” they commented.
For the welcome dinner in Zagred later that day, Queen Letizia stepped out in an ice blue wrap dress from Maria Barragan Costura.
She combined the outfit with a chic python clutch, slingback pumps in gold, and diamond and blue topaz earrings, and it was a “very pretty look,” royal fans commented.
