Queen Maxima of The Netherlands and two of her daughters, Princess Catharina-Amalia (known as Amalia) and Princess Ariane, all stepped out on Thursday to celebrate their father King Willem-Alexander for King’s Day. Maxima and Amalia in particular clashed with their bold outfits.
Queen Maxima, 51, wore a brand new outfit for the occasion, which featured a “Melso” silk knitted top in green from the brand Natan Couture.
This top is a green knitted top made from recycled silk, and it featured in the SS23 Couture Collection in Natan Couture.
Maxima paired this top with a matching Natan Couture “Musco” wrap skirt in silk shantung with a bowed belt in green.
This skirt is a green wrap skirt in faille with a bowed belt, again from the SS23 Couture Collection.

To accessorise, Queen Maxima carried a Marina Raphael “June” clutch bag, which her daughter Princess Ariane has also carried in the past.
The £638 clutch bag is cream in colour and features a beautiful gold clasp.
For footwear, Queen Maxima wore a new pair of Natan Couture N3988 sandals in white leather.
They feature a diagonal slant at the top and are open-toed, exposing Maxima’s red nail varnish.

Finally, Queen Maxima wore her Scully & Scully Peridot and pearl earrings, which she has owned since 2019.
Their description says: “Scully & Scully peridot, pearl and diamond earrings, set with 14 peridots, four sculptured and baroque pearls and round brilliant-cut diamonds, between the pearls and peridots, at intervals, mounted in 18ct yellow gold.”
Royal fans loved her outfit, particularly her shoes. For instance, @silvina.blanco.58 said: “Love the sandals!”
Similarly, @anyasives added: “The shoes! Wow. Love how colourful they all are.”
Royal fan @martina_schippers_ commented on the potential hidden meaning behind the outfit: “Great look.
“She’s wearing the colours of the city of Rotterdam. The flag of Rotterdam is green-white.”
Instagram user @___nned___ called Maxima “the Queen of colours”. Royal watcher @luxmeagainpreloved added: “I don’t know how it’s possible for this lady to get better, but she does.
“She just looks magnificent. The colour, the style – everything.”
Princess Amalia looked equally stunning in a Marina Rinaldi “Caraibi” comfortable triacetate blazer in fuchsia, which costs a whopping £1,002.07.
She paired this with matching Marina Rinaldi “Rete” comfortable triacetate trousers in fuchsia, which are worth £260.
To accessorise, she carried a £740 Jacquemus “Le Bambino” long leather shoulder bag in green, which she has owned since April last year.
For footwear, Amalia opted for her Gianvito Rossi “Gianvito 85” nude leather pumps, which she has also owned since last year.
