Queen Maxima and King Willem-Alexander are currently in Greece on a state visit. Today, the royal couple were in Thessaloniki, where they were seen cycling around the city and visiting the Ottoman Bey Hammam. Today, November 2, is the pair’s third day in the country.
Maxima looked elegant in a black blazer and a smart pair of black and white trousers.
The trousers featured a checkered pattern and reached the Dutch Queen’s ankles.
The jacket had a plunging, open collar and two buttons running down its centre.
Its sleeves were long and bell like, protruding outwards slightly in a modern, fashionable style.

Underneath the jacket, Maxima donned a crisp, white shirt.
She carried a black leather handbag with chain detailing around the strap.
To complete her look, the Dutch Queen wore nude heels featuring tiny bows. The heels of the shoes themselves were chunky and metallic.
Maxima had pinned her hair back in a relaxed updo and she wore minimal make-up.

The sun seemed to be shining in Thessaloniki and Maxima wore large sunglasses to shield her eyes.
As for other accessories, she donned large, chunky, gold hoop earrings, and a brooch was pinned to her jacket’s collar.
The brooch seemed to feature a small, pink-red flower and green leaves.
It is likely to be one of Greece’s national flowers, the Bear’s Breech.
Greece has several national flowers, but the Bear’s Breech is the most recognisable.
Scientifically called the Acanthus Mollis, the most common place one will find depictions of the flower is in the ornate, Corinthian-style columns of famous Greek landmarks, where its leaves form a distinctive pattern.
The Bear’s Breech has been used throughout Greece’s history and is often seen in funerary decorations, as well as temples.
According to many Greek tourism sites, the flower represents longevity and immortality, symbolising the endurance and perseverance of the nation over the centuries.
Another of Greece’s national flowers is the violet, while the laurel is its national plant or tree.
By wearing her floral brooch today, Maxima showed her respect towards Greece and its people.
Meanwhile, King Willem-Alexander donned a navy blue suit, a white shirt, and a light blue tie.
Today is the Dutch royal couple’s final day in Greece.
