Queen Rania of Jordan, 52, travelled to Sweden to meet Queen Silvia, 78. The Middle Eastern Queen Consort took to Instagram on Wednesday, writing: “Lovely seeing my dear friend Her Majesty Queen Silvia of Sweden earlier today.”
The caption was accompanied by a photo of the two queens side-by-side, both wearing very different outfits.
Queen Rania opted for a Silvia Tcherassi “Crista Dress”, which retails for $850, or £756 in British Sterling.
The brown and white striped dress was short-sleeved, cinched in at the waist, and featured a flowy skirt that reached below the Queen’s knees.

The mother of four wore her “Romy 100 Ivory Satin Pointy Toe Pumps” from Jimmy Choo, which sell for a whopping £550.

To accessorise, the Jordanian Queen wore her Apple Watch “Series 8 Starlight Aluminium Case with Braided Solo Loop in Beige”.
This watch sells from a starting price of £469 from the Apple website, with the description saying: “The aluminium case is lightweight and made from 100 percent recycled aerospace-grade alloy.”
The website continued: “The Braided Solo Loop is made from recycled yarn interwoven with silicone threads for an ultra-comfortable, stretchable design with no clasps or buckles.”
Royal fans were divided on Queen Rania’s style, and took to Instagram to debate her latest look.
Instagram user @alisahilde_ wrote: “I usually like her style but not this. Looks like she headed out to go square dancing.”
Similarly, @plbatch56 added: “I have to say that I have never really liked her style and this just confirms it.”
Additionally, @heidimariescott commented: “Well, it’s an interesting dress. But for me, it is somehow too young and girlish or overdone.
“I do love those beautiful pumps and that is the prettiest Apple Watch I’ve ever seen.”
Royal watcher, @princessbeatrice_mmozzi added: “The heels are cute.”
Queen Rania swept her brunette hair back into a ponytail and wore cute but simple hoop earrings to match her divisive dress.
In total, Rania’s outfit cost a sensational £1,775 as she travelled to visit the European Queen.
Queen Silvia of Sweden, who posed beside Queen Rania, stunned in a mint green blazer with a matching pencil skirt.
She could be seen wearing silver kitten heels and carried a floral bag as a sweet but simple accessory.
