BRITNEY Spears' husband Sam Asghari is prepping for a difficult split with his pop star wife, a psychologist has claimed.
And she thinks the former personal trainer is curating a "Messiah-type" image so he leaves his marriage looking like the good guy.
Recently, the trailer dropped for an upcoming doc on the couple called TMZ Investigates Britney Spears: The Price of Freedom.
The 30-second clip points to problems between Britney and Sam, and executive producer Harvey Levin suggests their marriage is in deep trouble.
The TV special is said to look into the couple's tricky marriage post-conservatorship as well as a failed intervention.
Meanwhile, Sam Asghari appears to have been busy on Instagram during the past few months, posting images of his naked torso and rainy days on a movie set.
A clip Sam posted on April 9 also showed him sitting at the wheel of a Toyota Corolla in Atlanta while he was shooting a movie.
During his monologue, the actor said the car reminded him of his youth.
Sam confessed he had felt “ashamed” when he pulled up to school or football practices in a car that was different from his friend's luxury ones.
He went on to explain: “It’s what you bring with yourself. Driving a better car does not make you a better person.”

Sam’s followers were quick to react. One posted: “Mmm… I’m sorry… I HEAR the message but the undertone is very snobbish.”
Another wrote: “Well, now you’ve got all Britney’s money so you can have whatever you want.”
Psychologist Jo Hemmings told The U.S. Sun: “On his Instagram feed, Sam changes from showing off his body to a seriously expensive watch, to humble bragging about the Toyota Corolla.
“In other videos, Sam criticizes the US health service for offering power to patients.
“These self-delivered monologues or social media soliloquies indicate he’s trying to be one of life’s benefactors.
"Sam has something of a Messiah Complex going on and yearns to be all things to all people.
“Sam is covering all bases — being humble on the one hand and bragging on the other.
“He is trying to be loved and respected by all, even throwing in a touch of faux deprecation on his Insta feed.
“He is very close to believing that he’s something of a guru who gives advice that lands at all levels, to all people.
“Sam is clearly hedging his bets if he splits with Britney.
“If the relationship doesn’t survive, he'll hope his life guru, savior-type behavior will help him over-ride the storm.
“This is all preparation for when he’ll step away.
“If they split he’ll convince himself — and attempt to convince others — that he did everything he could to help Britney.
“He’ll express regret, of course, but he won’t hold himself accountable in any way.
“Sam also appears to have very high self-esteem and strong ambition.
“But he has the ruthless determination to become someone special and significant in life’s bigger picture.
"This behavior would impact any split with Britney.”
Britney and Sam met in 2016 when he appeared in her Slumber Party video.
They got engaged in September 2021 and, after her 13-year conservatorship ended, married in a glittering ceremony in June.
The pop star wore Versace and celebrated her big day with Madonna and Selena Gomez. Britney's two sons Sean, 16, and Jayden, 15, didn't attend. Neither did her mom, dad, or sister, Jamie Lynn.
This is also Britney’s third marriage. She tied the knot with her childhood friend Jason Alexander in 2004 only to divorce 55 hours later.
In 2004, she married dancer Kevin Federline but divorced in 2007 and ahead of the conservatorship.
Recently, Britney made a fresh start only to hit the headlines with her online videos, in which she twirls around her living room in skimpy, baby-doll clothes.
Sam, meanwhile, has seen his career skyrocket post-marriage.
The Amercian-Irianan model had previously appeared in music videos but went on to act in HBO Max’s Hacks and BET’s The Family Business since becoming better known thanks to Britney.
“Compared to the videos that Britney posts, Sams are totally different," added Jo.
“As confident and self-assured as Sam is in his, Britney has a childlike essence about hers.
“She’s either looking coy or posting inspirational quotes and pretty pictures.
“Britney will see Sam as a strong man who holds high self-regard.
“He's basically everything she has been robbed of during her conservatorship.
"Britney is still relearning the ways of the world — or possibly learning some for the first time.
“Along the way, it’s as if Sam has grown in confidence and assertion while Britney is still exploring hers.
"Britney is likely to put Sam’s happiness and well-being above her own, while also fearing rejection or abandonment.
"This in turn fuels Sam’s confidence, giving him an unrealistic sense of what he is able to achieve — hence the Messiah or God Complex he has.
“He appears to need praise and recognition, she gives it to him, and so the toxic relationship continues to develop.
“If they split, she won't cope well in the short term.
“She has been manipulated and controlled for so much of her life, she's effectively addicted to people like Sam.
