From Kate’s sentimental jewellery to the significant meaning behind the floral headpieces, there were many standout fashion moments from the King’s Coronation back in May.
But while the spotlight was mostly on the women’s outfits, there was another hidden message you may have missed – this time from Prince Harry.
The Duke of Sussex opted for a Christian Dior suit for his father’s Coronation. This in itself might not seem anything of note, but it’s clear the brand has recently become a firm favourite with Harry and Meghan.
Prince Harry appeared to wear $1,000 Dior ‘Bee’ shirts during recent appearances at the High Court in London and sported the fashion house at the UN last year.
While Meghan wore head-to-toe Dior when she attended the National Service of Thanksgiving at St. Paul’s Cathedral, London, for the Platinum Jubilee last June – alongside Dior outfits at the Queen’s funeral, Archie’s baptism and other major royal events.
And now experts are shedding light on why this might be.
Many are suggesting that this could mean the couple have secured, or are on the brink of signing, a deal with the fashion brand.
PR guru Mark Borkowski told MailOnline: ‘It could be a case of poking the bear (to get a deal) or I suspect that is something that has been running for a while in terms of a negotiation and it now manifests itself into something.
‘It’s no coincidence that they are veering towards fashion. They are more comfortable in this world.
‘It does seem to be a series of weird coincidences: Harry wears a Dior suit at the coronation and Dior at the hacking case and now a deal may be in the offing’.
While brand and culture expert Nick Ede also told the Mail: ‘Harry will be part of the deal for sure. Dior are so well known for their menswear that I’m sure they will have wanted to seal an exclusive contract between them both’.
