We work at a soft play centre – kids are always losing their socks and, yes, cleaning up sick is part of the job | The Sun

TO KIDS, soft play areas are the absolute best, and to parents, they’re an accident waiting to happen.

But have you ever stopped to think about the people who work there?

Well, now you don’t have to because the employees of one such soft play centre have shared the realities of what it’s like.

Setting up a social media account for Pirates Landing, which has branches in Camberley and Wokingham, the employees have opened up on everything from the hilarious activities to the nitty gritty jobs they have to do.

In one video, they filmed a skit of themselves doing a voiceover from Harry Potter, where Harry tells Hermione that Ron is going to “sacrifice himself”.

“When it’s your turn to clean up the sick,” they wrote as two female employees looked distressed at one another.

One of the women then took a ‘Caution, cleaning in progress’ yellow sign with a toilet roll and walked away.

And the others shouted: “Nooooo!”

Another clip showed two employees sitting in a ball pit as they danced to Fame by Irene Cara.

Over this, TikTok user @pirateslanding wrote: “If we had a year added onto our lives every time we have to ask a child to put their socks back on…”

The pair then took a bunch of gold balls into their arms and flung it in the air in a hilarious scene.

But it’s not all work as they also have some fun in the play area themselves.

They go down the slides, jump in the ball pit and have fun exploring every nook and cranny of the place.
