IT'S more important than ever to ensure your clothes come out clean after one wash.

And if you find you're having to put your laundry in for a second wash to get them clean, you might want to take some advice from the Clothes Doctors.

In a video on TikTok, they shared "five things you should do before doing laundry".

Firstly, make sure you turn your garments inside out.

Next, zip up zippers and turn out the pockets.

Socks are often chucked into the laundry basket together, but they won't get washed properly unless you uncurl them.

And lastly, make sure you've tied up any strings on your hoodies or waistbands.

The comments section was quickly filled with people thanking the team for their advice, with one writing: "I didn't know about the pockets and the strings!

"I'm still not sure if I care enough to do them haha but possibly.

"Good to know anyway."
