A WOMAN who called off her wedding has sparked a major debate after attempting to sell her £13k engagement ring.
The former bride-to-be, who was set to tie the knot where she lives in Australia, had been proposed to with a 1.0 Carat sparkler, but instead of handing it back to her ex-partner, she posted it on Facebook.
Posting a photo of the engagement ring, the woman wrote alongside it explaining that she wanted the ring to go for a new home for £10k, compared to the £13k it was purchased for.
She said: “Selling this for obvious reasons. I do, now I don’t.
“Compare to current Tiffany pricing of a 1.0 Carat ring at $23,600, I am letting go of this beauty at $18,500.
“Condition is close to brand new – never worn much. Sorry no receipt as I didn’t buy it obviously. Bank transfers only.”
