OF all the fashion rules surrounding weddings, not wearing white is undoubtedly the biggest of them all.
But one woman decided to try and break that rule with the dress she picked for her pal's big day.
Nicole Mckenzie took to her TikTok page to ask for advice regarding the outfit she was considering – a silk cream maxi dress with blue flowers on it.
"Is this too white for a wedding?" she wrote over the top of the video.
And she added in the caption: "I think the flowers make it acceptable."
But people in the comments section didn't hold back with their responses, with one writing: "Why is it so hard for people to just avoid wearing A SINGLE color on a wedding?"

"Is it so hard to not be selfish on a single day?"
"If you have to question it… the answer is yes," a third sighed.
"Does it have white??? Then yes it’s too white," someone else wrote.

As another woman commented: "My ex SIL wore a similar dress to my wedding.
"The second I saw her I said WHO DOES THAT."
But not everyone agreed, with some insisting the dress would be fine to wear to the nuptials.
"Y’all are wild – it has flowers on it, looks like a summer dress," one wrote.
"Base is white, who cares? Acceptable for a wedding."
"the dress looks more beige and that's okay to wear in my opinion, especially because this one has tons of blue flowers," another said.
As a third commented: "Everyone’s different, if it were my wedding I’d be fine with it since it’s not solid white, but may not be fine to someone else."
And someone else wrote: "I hate the whole 'zero white at a wedding thing' .. I would never consider this too white.
"It’s a perfect dress for a wedding."
