Oprah guest shares age-defying tip in 2007
Back in 2007, ageless beauty Vyonne Swan spoke to Oprah Winfrey about how she maintains an amazingly youthful look at age 70.
One of the lifestyle habits she swore by was keeping her skin hydrated. She told Oprah and her studio audience: “The important thing that I’d like to tell everyone, moisturise, moisturise, moisturise.
“Every morning when I wake up before I open the door to pick up my New York Times I have moisturiser on.” She revealed that she moisturises her whole body, not just her face.
The benefits of moisturising are tenfold. According to skincare brand St. Ives, moisturing prevents dryness, which often occurs due to environmental factors such as weather, or man-made factors such as air conditioning.
It also slows down the ageing process. The experts at St. Ives said: “Hydrated skin is younger-looking skin.” Think, a plump, firm face.

For those with sensitive skin, moisturiser can be a life-saver. Aloe vera, chamomile, oatmeal and honey are all “soothing” ingredients that work great in this skincare product.

But make sure to wait at least half an hour before hitting the hay so it absorbs into your skin rather than your pillow.
St. Ives advised using a light moisturiser during the day and a heavier one at night.
