9 dramatic moments from Love Island 2022 from Ekin-Su’s terrace crawling to Adam’s return

Love Island is soon set to be over for another year, with the 2022 grand finale scheduled to take place on Monday 1 August.

This year's series has been dramatic to say the least with numerous bombshells entering the villa throughout and countless twists and turns.

From Liam Llewellyn's emotional exit in the first week to Ekin-Su Culculoglu and Davide Sanclimenti's arguments, there's been a whole host of memorable Love Island 2022 moments.

As we get ready to say goodbye to the ITV2 dating show for another year, let's take a look back through some of the most dramatic moments of the series…

Liam's exit

He was part of the original Love Island 2022 line-up and was happy after the public paired him up with Gemma Owen, but after just one week Liam Llewellyn made the decision to leave the island.

The 23 year old shocked viewers when he gathered his fellow Islanders around the fire pit and emotionally told them he was leaving as he didn't feel like himself in the villa.

Gemma's ex

One of the most shocking moments during this year's series came when Jacques O'Neill entered the villa as a bombshell.

The rugby player, 23, sneakily headed into the villa one morning and the girls saw the back of him from the terrace, with Gemma saying that he looked remarkably similar to her ex-boyfriend – only to find out that it was!

She and Jacques dated around a year before their Love Island stint, but things appeared to be amicable between the pair and they went on to become good friends on the show.

Ekin-Su and Jay's kiss

Jay Younger entered the villa as a bombshell during the first few weeks and instantly caught Ekin-Su's eye, despite her being coupled up with Davide.

She soon made a beeline for the 28 year old and they snuck off to the terrace together to share a kiss without any of their fellow Islanders knowing.

Jay and Ekin-Su secretly kissed on two occasions and it wasn't long until it came to light, leaving Davide furious as Ekin-Su initially attempted to deny it happened.

An explosive argument broke out between the pair, and Davide called Ekin-Su a "liar" and an "actress", marking one of the most memorable moments of the 2022 series.

Danica choosing Luca

Danica Taylor made a dramatic entrance during a challenge, and she soon ruffled feathers when she selected Luca Bish to couple up with despite him being smitten with Gemma.

The 21 year old had to pick a boy to couple up with just hours into her stay in the villa, and Luca was left less than impressed after being taken away from Gemma.

Andrew grows close to Coco

Casa Amor always provides drama with it providing the Islanders with the ultimate relationship test.

When Andrew Le Page's head turned in Casa Amor viewers were left shocked, as he'd seemed smitten with Tasha Ghouri since day one.

He enjoyed a brief romance with Coco Lodge and recoupled with her, but it soon became apparent that his feelings for Tasha were still strong and they soon reconciled.

Cheyanne reveals her connection with Jacques

Jacques' head also turned in Casa Amor and he enjoyed getting to know Cheyanne Kerr, but at the recoupling he decided to stick with Paige Thorne.

However, Cheyanne wasn't leaving without having the last word and she revealed all about her and Jacques connection in front of all of the Islanders.

Adam's return

There's been numerous bombshells on this year's series, but former Islander Adam Collard returning was one of the most surprising.

The 26 year old appeared on series four of the hit ITV2 show and made a name for himself after coupling up with four different girls during his time in the villa.

However, he appears to have turned over a new leaf and has formed a connection with Paige, who he appears to be smitten with.

Jacques' exit

Jacques decided to quit Love Island after a dramatic few days following his Casa Amor antics, and his departure was emotional to say the least.

The rugby player told his fellow Islanders it was time for him to leave and he broke down in tears as he told Paige he would wait for her on the outside.

Movie night

Movie night was introduced in 2021 and viewers were thrilled to hear it would be returning during this year's series.

Clips of Andrew and Dami's Casa Amor antics were shown on the big screen, along with Ekin-Su and Tasha's chats with the boys.

Gemma was shown enjoying a chat with Billy Brown, leaving Luca furious and the pair soon found themselves embroiled in an argument as he accused her of flirting.
