Ken was an acclaimed pro rally driver and stuntman. Apart from that, he was a successful entrepreneur investing in several ventures. Before turning the wheels on extreme sports action and racing, he invested in start-up companies. In 1994 he co-founded the skating fashion company DC shoes, and by age 40, he was inspired to take up car racing. Block debuted in 2005 and raced in every rally season until 2015 and won 15 Rally America races and six Global RallyCross races in his decade-long career. Spin-off Hoonigan Media Machine created video content for fans, including the popular Gymkhana Files on YouTube, which reportedly brought in sponsors for racing events before his death. Unfortunately, he passed away in a snowmobile accident on January 2nd, 2023, in Utah. Let us take a look at his expensive sports car collection.
Ken’s most expensive purchase was the Audi S1 Hoonitron which is worth $12 million and debuted on October 25th in the Gymkhana stunt videos. It has been designed according to the legendary Quattro S1 E2 Pikes Peak Hill climb car from the 1980s.
10 2022 Audi S1 ($12 Million)
According to Carbuzz, the 2022 Audi S1 was featured on one of the episodes of Gymkhana on the Hoonigan YouYube channel. It was valued at approximately $12 million, and the custom-built Hoonitron was equipped with an 800-volt dual motor system, each motor sitting on its axle. Four Q7 plug-in hybrid SUV batteries stretched across the cabin towards the driver’s feet. The interior was modeled after the Le Mans-type prototype cabin. It also featured a battery pack and wild roll cage layout with a bucket seat, a ton of buttons, an FIA-spec roll cage, and a quick-release steering wheel.

9 1977 Ford F-150 ($1.1 Million)
According to Fox News, the 1977 Ford F-150 modified version, once owned by the legendary racer and stunt driver Ken Block was for sale at an estimated $1.1 million. It was custom built by Detroit Speed on tube frame chassis and comes with a 3.5 liter V6 turbocharged engine from a Ford GT Le Man’s race car with a 914 hp. Nicknamed the Hoonitruck, the low-riding pick-up was used in two popular Gymkhana YouTube series.
8 1984 Audi Sport Quattro ($475,500)
The 1984 Audi Sport Quattro is a rare collectible and one of the iconic World Rally cars. The body was perfectly designed with a five-cylinder 2.1-liter turbocharged engine producing 302bhp. The legendary Quattro AWD system powers the four wheels via a five-speed manual. This rally supercar was fully loaded with an independent front and rear suspension, anti-roll bars, and ventilated disc brakes along its periphery.
7 1986 Ford RS200 ($280,000)
One of the rare customized rally supercars, the 1986 Ford RS200, was commissioned to British engineer and F1 designer Tony Southgate by Ford. It was equipped with a 1.8-liter Cosworth-sourced four-cylinder engine. It can produce 444 hp at 8,000 pm and 361 pound-feet torque at 5,500 rpm.
6 2021 Skoda Fabia R5+ ($201,000)
Block had opted for a 2021 Skoda Fabia R5+ rally car in the 2021 FABIA Rally2 near Salem. The custom-built vehicle was modified with an Open 4WD category and fitted with a four-cylinder turbocharged 4 V engine producing 288 hp. It also featured a Traction Control System, Electronic Brake Assist, and an anti-lock braking system.
5 1974 Ford Bronco ($90,012)
Ford Motors valued a classic vintage 1974 Ford Bronco at $3,365 during its first year of production. According to Hot Cars, it features two engine options, one is the 200 CID Inline-Six, similar to the Ford Fox Body Mustang and Ford Maverick, and the other is the 302 CID V8. The 200 CID Inline-Six engine can produce 120 hp and 190 lb-ft of torque at 2,400 RPM. The 302 CID V8 engine offers 243 lb-ft of torque at 2,000 RPM. The wagon-shaped SUV is equipped with three-speed automatic transmission and was a strong competitor for the Jeep CJ-5.
4 2016 Ford Mustang Mach-E ($59,590)
According to Top Gear, Ford invited Ken to test drive their all-new electric 2016 Ford Mustang Mach-E; the race track beast was designed exclusively for drifting. It has seven electric motors producing 1,400 bhp, a high-performance battery, 1,000 kg of downforce going up to 160 mph, and a hydraulic handbrake.
3 1991 Ford Escort Cosworth ($52,000)
Ken Block purchased an icy white 1991 Ford Escort Cosworth race car in 2017. It was equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine, a four-pot up front connected to a seven-speed sequential gearbox sending power to the four wheels via a complex active diff system producing 400 bhp. The race car was a certified Group A rally car weighing around 2,811 pounds.
2 2014 Ford F-150 Raptor ($45,590)
In 2014 the Hoonigan co-founder customized a 2014 Ford F-150 Raptor as the ultimate mountain heavy-duty vehicle. Modified by California’s Special Vehicle Concepts, the Raptor got an additional suspension lift with four beastly Mattracks tracks, a full roll cage, Recaro bucket seats, and a Whipple supercharger for the truck’s 6.2-liter V-8 supercharged engine. It was also equipped with a custom Hoonigan camo livery, a rear-mounted winch, an exterior superior stereo system, snowboard racks, a roof basket, and auxiliary lights.
1 2021 Subaru Impreza WRX STi ($38,170)
Block used the 2021 Subaru Impreza WRX STi as his comeback rally car in 2021. He competed in the Subaru rally car in six of the remaining rounds of the 2021 American Rally Association season. His competitors were the Subaru Motorsports USA team vehicles of Travis Pastrana/Rhianon Gelsomino and Brandon Semenuk/John Hall. His co-driver was Alex Gelsomino, and the car was custom-built with a multipoint roll cage system. The body of the beast vehicle was designed with Aerospace material – T45 steel that minimizes impact. The interior was refitted with purpose-built gauges, displays, safety harnesses, RECARO racing seats, and carbon fiber.
Ken Block was a speed head with a rare collection of rally and race cars which he used in world championships and rally races.
