Amanda Bynes’ psychiatric hold is going to be extended as her loved ones continue to worry about her safety and well-being.
The actress will remain under the care of medical professionals for at least another week after completing the mandatory 72-hour hold, sources told TMZ.
Doctors are trying to get the Nickelodeon alum, who suffers from bipolar disorder, back on track with medication and therapy, per the outlet.
Meanwhile, her family is said to be growing more concerned about her repeated episodes.
TMZ reported over the weekend that Bynes, 37, was placed on a 5150 hold for the second time this year after calling the cops for help.
She was detained by police and taken into custody for a mental health evaluation.
Sources later told the outlet that the “She’s The Man” star was deemed a danger to herself and those around her.
Reps for Bynes did not immediately return Page Six’s request for comment.
The actress was previously placed on a psychiatric hold in March after she was seen walking around naked in Los Angeles.

An eyewitness told TMZ she flagged down a car and told the driver that she was coming down from a psychiatric episode before calling police.
At the time, sources told the outlet that Bynes, who also struggles with substance abuse, had likely been living “on the streets for days” prior to the incident.
The former child star’s ex-fiancé, Paul Michael, also told Page Six that she had probably been “off her meds.”
Bynes was hospitalized for nearly three weeks before starting outpatient treatment.
The “Amanda Show” alum’s eight-year conservatorship was terminated in March 2022 after the court determined the legal arrangement was “no longer required.”
