A young girl who melted hearts singing the hit song ‘Let It Go’ from the Disney animated film Frozen to entertain a crowded bunker in Kyiv left Good Morning Britain viewers in floods of tears today.

Amelia Anisovych, who is aged just seven, went viral in March when footage of her singing the instantly recognisable hit while dozens of people hid from Russian bombs in the Ukrainian capital was posted on Facebook.

The adorable rendition was shared hundreds of thousands of times across various social media platforms and earned Amelia messages of support from the song’s original singer Idina Menzel and composer Kristen Anderson-Lopez.

Appearing on the breakfast TV programme today alongside her mother Lilia, Amelia performed a rendition of the Disney song before cuddling up with presenter Susanna Reid.

Many viewers were left in floods of tears by the segment, with one writing: ‘I think there’s something in my eye! How amazing is Amelia! What a lovely little girl.’

Meanwhile another added: ‘It makes me cry every time I see it.’

During the appearance today, Amelia presented Susanna with a drawing, before the presenter went on to give her a bracelet.

Susanna said: ‘It’s a gift from us, and all of our viewers as well, because you do light up the screen every time you’re on with us.’

Meanwhile the family went on to describe the highlights from their trip to England, with Amelia saying they had had ‘much fun’ and had been to visit Big Ben.

Meanwhile her mother Lilia spoke of the devastating war in Ukraine and said she hoped to return to her country

They went on to explain they saw the Frozen musical in the West End, with Amelia confessing she had ambitions to appear on the big stage in a musical.

She said: ‘I would like to sing when I grow up, and when I grow up, I would be a big big singer.’

Meanwhile her mother Lilia, 39, spoke of her wish to one day return to Ukraine, saying: ‘I would like to come back to my country, but it’s not possible. It’s very dangerous and I cannot go with my children, because of the war.

‘We miss [my husband] Roman very much but unfortunately we can’t be with each other, together.’

Many of those watching the programme today confessed the segment had left  them in floods of tears

Lilia went on to share a message with the British people, adding: ‘Thankyou for your support, we are safe and we can be safe now.’

Amelia’s Ukrainian version of the hit song had first been shared on Facebook in March by Marta Smekhov, who said that ‘even men couldn’t hold back the tears’.

The rendition was shared hundreds of thousands of times across various social media platforms and earned Amelia messages of support from the song’s original singer Idina Menzel and composer Kristen Anderson-Lopez.

But many feared ‘the little girl with the beautiful voice’, as she was described by Anderson-Lopez, would become yet another tragic casualty of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Fortunately, it was revealed that after nearly a week in a bunker surviving on almost no food or water, little Amelia completed a gruelling two-day journey to Poland, and is now living safely with her grandmother.

She made the trip with her 15-year-old brother Misha, while mother Lilia and father Roman stayed behind in Kyiv.

In April, Good Morning Britain presenter Ms Reid travelled to Medyka on the Ukraine-Poland border and met the schoolgirl Amelia, who fled her war-torn country with her grandmother and brother Misha.

Speaking in a ‘special interview’ which aired at the time, Amelia said she’d like to go home again ‘when the war is finished’.

Appearing on the show today, the little girl spoke of seeing a West End show during her trip to London

During the segment, the seven-year-old Ukrainian snuggled up with Susanna for a cuddle after performing

The little girl was beaming as the breakfast TV presenter brought her up onto her knee and into a huge cuddle

When asked how soon she thinks that would be, the seven-year-old pumped her fist in the air and said: ‘When we have our victory.’

Her mother Lilia said it was perhaps the sixth day of sheltering underground when Amelia sang the hit song.

She said: ‘On the day we shot the video we were all exhausted. We heard sirens all the time and we were exhausted.’

Meanwhile she also performed her now-famous rendition of the song Let it Go from Disney’s Frozen in both English and Ukrainian

Elsewhere, the seven-year-old presented Susanna with a drawing she had done of the presenter (pictured)

Ms Reid asked Amelia about the journey out of Ukraine with her grandmother and brother, and the child said: ‘I was hungry at one point, but we had two sandwiches, so I ate a sandwich. I made new friends on the journey and everything was fine.’

When asked what she thought about Russian premier Vladimir Putin, Lilia said: ‘What a question. This creature doesn’t deserve to exist or be talked about. Putin is a global evil.’

Meanwhile she went on to perform on Poland’s The Voice, Kids.

Video of Amelia’s performance was first shared on Facebook by Marta Smekhova, who says she stopped by to help decorate the shelter
