Bella Thorne set a new record on subscription-based social platform OnlyFans: The actor, model and influencer officially earned over $1 million in revenue in the first 24 hours after debuting her account.
Bella Thorne announced her plans to launch on OnlyFans in a video montage posted to Instagram on Aug. 19. Since then her earnings from OnlyFans have jumped to about $2 million. Thorne is using OnlyFans to share personal content and never-before-seen photos and videos — available only to paying subscribers. According to her reps, Thorne responds to every DM from her OnlyFans followers.
According to a rep for OnlyFans, which is known for its X-rated content posted by mostly adult performers and influencers, the 22-year-old former Disney star is the first content creator on the platform to earn that much money in 24 hours.
OnlyFans promises creators the freedom to publish any content they want — and the too-hot-for-regular-social-media service has gained a reputation for hosting X-rated material. In 2019, the New York Times called it “the paywall of porn.”
According to Page Six, Thorne racked up a whopping $1 million in the first 24 hours of creating her account, becoming the first user to ever make that much in their first day on the platform. Now it’s been nearly a week since Thorne made her account, and the 22-year-old says she’s made about $2 million from her page, which offers exclusive content for a subscription of $20 a month.

But in a tweet Tuesday, the 22-year-old actress Thorne told fans she was not doing nudity. Last year, she proactively posted nude photos of herself on Twitter after a hacker allegedly tried to blackmail her and threatened to release the pics.
OnlyFans is best known for its X-rated content, though celebrities like Cardi B are using the platform solely to share exclusive personal content with fans. “NO I WON’T BE SHOWING PUSSY , TITTIES AND ASS .LINK IN BIO…It will be a place for only me and my fans,” she told fans earlier this month.
Thorne’s OnlyFans subscription is currently set at $20 per month (with a limited-time 20% discount for a one-month subscription, and 15% off if fans purchase three- or six-month access). Creators on OnlyFans receive 80% of their subscription revenue and can also receive tips from their fans.
Filmmaker Sean Baker (“The Florida Project”) is planning to make a documentary about Thorne’s experience on OnlyFans, according to Paper Magazine. Thorne, in an Instagram post last week, said she’s “excited to talk about the politics behind female body shaming & sex!!! With the amazing director Sean baker who I’m proud to call my friend.
According to the company, OnlyFans has paid out more than $1 billion to creators since its launch in September 2016. The service currently has more than 50 million registered users and 700,000 content creators.
Thorne is known for her role on Disney Channel’s “Shake It Up” and appeared in Season 3 of Fox’s “The Masked Singer,” in which she performed in costume as the Swan. She starred in the Netflix horror film “The Babysitter” and its sequel, “The Babysitter: Killer Queen,” set to be released Sept. 10 on Netflix. In 2019, Pornhub premiered Thorne’s directorial debut, an original short called “Her & Him,” described as a “sexually explicit reimagining of Shakespeare’s ‘Romeo and Juliet.’”
