Blokes method to crack open Easter eggs dubbed weird – but others disagree

Everyone has their own way of digging into their Easter eggs.

However, one man was dubbed 'weird' by his wife over the method he used to crack open his chocolate eggs.

But others believed his tactic to dig into the sweet treats was "perfectly reasonable and sensible", according to Daily Record.

With conflicting opinions between the pair, he decided to take matters to the public, by asking for others' advice online.

Posting to Reddit, the guy wrote: "So me and the other half sat down to watch trash and overdose on Easter eggs (cause when they gone they gone) – and she still after all the years we've known each other finds me "weird" because I headbutt the Easter egg before ripping off the foil."

"Am I weird? Or is she just over reacting to a perfectly reasonable and sensible way to open an Easter egg."

Many in the discussion agreed that it makes sense to crack an Easter egg this way.

One commenter said: "First egg of the year has to be headbutt open, dems the rules."

"She's the weird one," said a second. "Why would you not headbutt an egg? It's the only sensible option. Maybe she'd like to get a knife and fork out to eat her egg all la-di-da instead of nutting the b*****d."

However, cracking an Easter egg open with your head it isn't exactly painless – or effective. One commenter who previously gave it a go said: "I've done that before and it hurt. I didn't get in either."

Another said the same, writing: "My husband, at 33 years old, still headbutts the egg after seven years of being together. I tried it and it really hurt and the egg didn’t break."

However, another member of the discussion said it's all in the technique. Responding to the original question, they wrote: She doesn't understand the finesse and commitment to smashing the Easter egg on ones head.

"You've got to commit to it and go full whack with the egg. If you don't do it hard enough and the egg don't break it huuurts."

Others couldn't get over the fact that the man couldn't wait until Easter Sunday to eat his eggs, with some accusing him of breaking a cardinal "law".

"Why are you eating today? You are not 'legally' allowed to eat them till Sunday," said one traditionalist. "I''m 49, Mum still buys me an eater egg and I know I cant eat until Sunday!"

The debate comes after one model decided to use her Easter egg to cover her boobs instead of a bra for a racy shoot.

We're not sure choccy bras will catch on, but fans seemed to be enjoying the view anyway.
