Britney Spears casually declared that she “quit the business” as she reflected on her 13-year conservatorship in a candid new Instagram post.
The Princess of Pop shared a throwback video of herself dancing in a crop top and shorts to 2007’s “Get Naked (I Got a Plan),” writing in the caption that it is her “favorite” song from her two-decade career.
Spears, 41, then looked back on her performance days and how she had to share the spotlight with her backup dancers.
“It was really weird because my dancers took the stage for this song 🎧 !!! Oh well !!! I listened to this song today and actually realized it for the first time 😏😏😏🙄🙄🙄 !!!” she wrote.
“I guess it was all those rules you know !!! Guess all those rules and not having a voice for 13 years in what I wanted gave a lot of people a thrill ride !!! Oh well !!! Psss no wonder I quit the business JUST SAYING !!!”
The “Toxic” singer — who has not released an album since August 2016 but teamed up with Elton John last year for their “Hold Me Closer” duet — quickly brushed off the wounds of her past and left her 42.1 million followers on a positive note.
“I’m going to London next week to go shopping 🛍️ so things aren’t too shabby,” she wrote.
Spears’ accompanying video showed her twirling around a room in Maui last year, which she notably reposted as her two sons prepare to move from California to Hawaii with their father, Kevin Federline.

Sean Preston, 17, and Jayden, 16, are packing their bags because their stepmother, Victoria Prince, got a new job in the Aloha State.
Page Six broke the news last week that Spears signed off on the move amid her estrangement from her kids.
“Britney Spears will not interfere with and consents to the relocation,” her attorney said.
A source previously confirmed to us that the “Womanizer” singer, whose conservatorship ended in November 2021, last saw her sons in early 2022. They chose to skip her wedding to Sam Asghari that June.
A recent TV special claimed Preston and Jayden “weren’t even responding” to their mom’s text messages last summer due to her nude social media uploads.
However, Spears extended an olive branch earlier this week by posting nostalgic photos of her boys.
She first shared a picture of herself holding Jayden when he was a toddler, captioning it with two rose emojis.
The “Crossroads” star then uploaded a solo snap of Preston, calling him her “first love.”
