Britney Spears and Meghan Markle both love a bit of Pillow Talk.
The pop princess and the Duchess of Sussex might not have a lot in common, but one thing they share is a love for Charlotte Tilbury’s iconic lipstick shade.
Spears wore the brand’s legendary matte lip color in “Pillow Talk” ($34) to marry Sam Asghari on Thursday, showing off a fresh and natural makeup look to go with her custom Versace wedding dress.
But the shade isn’t just limited to pop royalty; the Duchess of Sussex is one of many famous fan of Tilbury’s lippie, wearing it on the cover of Time’s “Time 100 list” issue in 2021.
Charlotte Tilbury herself took to Instagram to send her good wishes to the new Mr. and Mrs. Asghari — and share all the details of Spears’ wedding day makeup, including her “perfect nude-pink bridal lip.”
“Darlings, we are sending a huge CONGRATULATIONS and masses of LOVE to the beautiful, talented, endlessly kind and radiantly glowing @BritneySpears and her wonderful husband @SamAsghari on their wedding day!!” she posted.
For those looking to recreate the “Baby One More Time” singer’s “timeless, dreamy makeup look,” the celebrity makeup artist shared the products she and her niece, Sofia Tilbury, used on Spears.
According to the brand, its cult-favorite “Magic Cream” ($64) was used to create the perfect base for the star’s bridal makeup after skin prep including the “Goddess” clay mask ($55) and cleansing ritual ($46).
“Her bridal beauty look was all about healthy, glowing, lit-from-within skin,” Sofia said, and this was achieved by applying the brand’s “Beautiful Skin” foundation ($44), a medium coverage liquid base that lasts 16 hours and works to “hydrate, smooth, blur pores, and brighten skin.”
Spears’ wedding day look was devoid of her usual heavy black eyeliner, instead using bronzey shades from the Charlotte Tilbury “Easy Nudes” shadow palette ($57).
Spears’s bridal glow was quite on trend thanks to the Charlotte Tilbury “Beauty Light Wand” in “Peachgasm” ($40) — the product’s “Pinkgasm” shade has gone viral on TikTok recently.
Her big day makeup was completed with the celeb-loved Pillow Talk lipstick, and along with Markle, it’s been seen on Emma Roberts and Amal Clooney, among others. In fact, a tube is sold every two minutes, according to the brand.
Along with her Time cover, Markle turned to the British brand for her own wedding day, wearing the same formula in the shade Very Victoria to marry Prince Harry in 2019. Tilbury actually has another royal connection: she received her MBE (Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire) from the Queen in 2018.
