Brits have been left absolutely baffled after a woman posted a dead bat through a woman’s letter box – but the reasoning behind it has left people giggling (and even more confused).
It’s not unusual for a letter box to be in the mix of a prank, just like how this one woman posted a raw fish through her ex-boyfriends.
Or verging on the even more disgusting side – another had a ‘tub of poo’ pushed through hers.
Bodily waste and aquatic animals to one side, recently a resident had a dead bat through their letter box.

But, thanks to modern technology they managed to catch it on their doorbell camera.
And, so in hopes of catching the culprit, the resident took to Facebook to see if anyone could identify the woman.
The social media post urged: “Anyone living on Victoria Street have CCTV? The bottom end. Just before 6pm this evening I had a DEAD BAT posted through my door by a blonde woman… better image needed! Or does anyone know who this is.”
However, in a turn of events the perpetrator actually came forward in the comment section.
Despite what you may be thinking, this is no act of revenge or spite – the dead bat poster claimed to have a completely innocent reason.
The panicked woman explained: “OMG! I am so sorry! It was meant for Clare the Bat Lady (works for South Lancs Bat Group) as she wanted to examine it! I’ve obviously got the wrong house! Clare will verify this.
“Erm… have you still got it?” she hesitantly asked.

A screenshot of the interesting exchange has now found its way onto Twitter, where people poked fun at the baffling incident.
One person giggled: “I can’t imagine being in either of these peoples shoes.”
Another user added: “Really hope the [bat] got to the right place.”
Whilst a third person mocked: “Easy mistake.”
Someone else chuckled: “So embarrassing when this happens.”
Meanwhile, a fifth user noted: “Gold…”
