The latest old favourite to make a comeback is Cadbury chocolate coins – and they are set to arrive just in time for Christmas.
It's hard to believe but the little circles of joy have been unavailable for as long as 10 years.
The iconic product was discontinued back in 2014, causing widespread outrage from chocolate lovers across the UK, as they lamented the loss of their favourite shiny stocking-fillers.
Ever since the treats disappeared, petitions have been set up in a bid to bring them back.
Cadbury was even coined Scrooge – as fans took to social media to share their grief.
Nine years later, due to overwhelming popular demand, the treats steeped in nostalgia and cherished memories, have returned to shelves across the country.
Made from the nation’s favourite Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate, the smooth and creamy coins are set to make a big comeback this year.
Katie Hill, Junior Brand Manager for Cadbury, said: "If you cast your mind back to 2014, you may remember that Cadbury was breaking hearts across the nation, as we announced the sad discontinuation of our much-loved chocolate coins.
"So we’re thrilled to be able to finally announce we’ll be bringing back this beloved holiday treasure this year – a product which represents festive joy and nostalgia for so many."
Whether you were a wide-eyed child eagerly unwrapping Cadbury Dairy Milk Coins on Christmas morning, or a grown-up indulging in their velvety smoothness by the fireplace, the return of Cadbury Coins will take you on a whimsical journey down memory lane.
This year they'll be available nationwide in both a Festive Net (£1.99) and a gift worthy decorative Money tin (£6.99).
Sarah Foden, Archivist for Cadbury, added: "It's a joyous moment to see the return of this national treasure that has captivated generations of Cadbury fans over the years.
"The nostalgia surrounding this iconic product is a testament to its timeless charm, and we're thrilled to bring back the joy and excitement it holds for the Christmas season."
Cadbury is also partnering with the Trussell Trust for the fourth year running this year to help make Christmas special for everyone.
Across the season the brand will be donating 100,000 treats to food banks in the Trussell Trust network, as well as making a financial donation to support the Trust’s longer-term mission of fighting hunger in the UK.
The chocolate coins will be available from September in supermarkets nationwide.
