Cate Blanchett is always a winner on the red carpet.
The Aussie actress stepped onto the Oscars 2023 red carpet Sunday night wearing an elegant (and sustainable) Louis Vuitton look comprised of boldly draped blue top plucked from the house’s archives and paired with a sleek navy skirt.
The blond beauty accessorized with Giuseppe Zanotti shoes, although they were hidden underneath her skirt’s train.
Blanchett kept the focus on her electric blue ensemble by wearing her hair swept back — the better to show off her dangling diamond earrings, too.
The timeless look was put together by Blanchett’s go-to red carpet stylist, Elizabeth Stewart.
Blanchett, 53, is nominated for Best Actress for her performance in “Tár.”
Her movie is also up for Best Picture, Best Director (Todd Field), Best Original Screenplay (Todd Field), Best Cinematography (Florian Hoffmeister) and Best Film Editing (Monika Willi).

Blanchett has made a habit of repeating and repurposing outfits on the red carpet in recent years in a bid to prioritize sustainability.
She attended February’s SAG Awards in a brand-new black sequined Armani Privé gown that incorporated lace left over from another Armani look she wore to the 2014 Golden Globes and the 2018 Cannes Film Festival.
Blanchett also arrived at the 2023 BAFTA Awards in the same black Maison Margiela gown she previously wore to the 2015 Oscars, and brought back her rainbow-colored Givenchy Haute Couture look from the 2018 Cannes Film Festival for this year’s Berlin Film Festival.
And at the 2020 Venice Film Festival, the sustainable star rewore old outfits for all of the week’s events, giving many new leases on life with clever alterations.
Her stylist, Elizabeth Stewart, elaborated on her recycled fashions on Instagram at the time. “It’s chic to repeat,” she wrote. “In [Blanchett’s] words, beautiful things can come out of sustainability!”
